Health Issues In Pakistan
Health issues are the problems that occur due to disturbed metabolism of the body, which can be caused due to pollutants and pathogens and cause some serious health issues and is termed as a disease. In Pakistan, there are many emerging health problems that are leading to an increased death rate. Health problems are considered critical because of their severity, high prevalence, associated costs, or impacts on population health.
Major Health issues in Pakistan:-
Pakistan is among the top 10 countries which are having high diabetic prevalence. The current prevalence of diabetes in Pakistan is documented to be 7.6-11% and is claimed to reach up to 15% by 2030 which will place Pakistan at 4 the position in the world.
Diabetes is caused by many environmental factors such as physical inactivity, obesity as well as certain nutritional trends emerging as major causes of diabetes as a health issue in Pakistan.
In Pakistan, the most common heart problems include Stroke, Lower respiratory infections, Ischemic heart disease, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. These heart problems lead to an increased mortality rate in Pakistan.
Some major causes of heart problems include Smoking, Excessive use of alcohol or caffeine, Stress, High blood pressure, high cholesterol levels.

Cancer disease refers to the development of abnormal cells that divide continuously and have the ability to destroy healthy cells. It is the leading cause of death in Pakistan. It has the ability to spread in the body. Certain forms of cancer result in visible growths called tumors, while others, such as leukemia. Cancer cells appear in one area and spread through the lymph nodes that are present in the body.

- Carcinogens such as many chemicals, radioactive materials, and asbestos.

Difficulty in swallowing
Hormone therapy involves taking medications that change how certain hormones work or interfere with the body’s ability to produce them. When hormones play a significant role, as with prostate and breast cancers, this is a common approach.
Chemotherapy aims to kill cancerous cells with medications that target rapidly dividing cells.
The drugs can also help shrink tumors, but the side effects can be severe.
Stem cell transplant can be especially beneficial for people with blood-related cancers, such as leukemia. It involves removing cells, such as red or white blood cells, that chemotherapy or radiation has destroyed. Lab technicians then strengthen the cells and put them back into the body.
Children are more vulnerable in developing diarrheal diseases due to their compromised or immune system. Early childhood diarrhea affects the physical and congenital growth of children. This can also happen due to poverty by drinking nonpotable water because they cannot afford filtrate water.
Viruses that can cause diarrheal infections include Norwalk virus, cytomegalovirus, and viral hepatitis.
Bacteria and parasites contaminate Food or water.
Chronic diarrhea has a number of other causes, such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, microscopic colitis, and irritable bowel syndrome.

The root causes of all three of these health issues are often linked by such underlying social factors as poverty, education, and location. At the state level, health departments should promote community-based activities and, in the committee’s view, have a particular responsibility to facilitate community access to data such as that needed for the proposed community health profile. Knowledge and understanding of health are growing rapidly. The accelerated technological revolution is multiplying the potential for improving health and transforming health literacy in a better-educated and modernizing global society and our government should make some laws to improve the health issues and lag this problem to the lowest level.
