         Soft glowing skin is a desire of every individual, especially women in order to look beautiful and attractive. It is truly said that beauty comes from inside. Healthy diet is the gateway for a beautiful glowing skin. Healthy skin boosts one’s confidence. But the question is how it can be achieved?

         The changing lifestyle of people along with the pollution in environment are a severe bane for our skin. They are the reason for many skin related problems like pimples, acne, wrinkles, oily or dry skin, dark circles, hyper pigmentation, etc.

       Healthy diet is a fix to keep these problems at bay. It helps to nourish the skin naturally from cellular level leaving no side effects. Healthy skin is accomplished through a healthy and balanced diet.

        Water has endless benefits. 70 % of skin cells are made of water. So it is necessary to keep them hydrated thoroughly. Once the skin is hydrated, reflection of light from skin would be better and it glows brightly. Water also acts as natural detoxifying agent and helps to cleanse the skin.

        Proteins are the building blocks of life. Foods like Tofu, Paneer, Eggs, Pulses, Sprouts, etc. helps to repair and provide strength to the skin. So these foods are considered the best for our skin.


      There is no reason to avoid the food which is easily available and contain all the essential vitamins and minerals. Green leafy vegetables are excellent source of Vitamin C, E and K, Iron, Calcium, Minerals and fibers and are most suggested food by dermatologist for a healthy skin. They inhibit excessive sebum production, thus preventing acne and pimples.

If you are searching for another reason to eat the food of the Gods, then you would be surprised to know that they give you fairer skin with smooth texture. Dark chocolates, which are made of cocoa are rich in anti- oxidants and flavonoids and protect us from UV radiations.


         Green tea may help to protect skin from damage. It fights acne based on its ability to lower the levels of dihydro testosterone, an acne producing hormone. So having 2-3 cups of green tea everyday will be helpful to reap the benefits for your skin.
