Doubling demo requests for a CRM startup
Bottom-of-funnel pages and tighter on-page CTR work more than doubled demo requests in four months.
The challenge
The CRM had a real product. Organic had almost none of the pipeline. Rankings clustered on brand terms; evaluators searching “best CRM for remote teams” never saw the company.
Blog output existed, but it explained features instead of the pain that triggers a demo. Comparison demand was left to competitors who already owned “alternative to X” SERPs.
Pipeline impact from organic demo demand.
The approach
We rebuilt the content map around buying moments. Long-tail pain queries first, then comparison pages, then internal links that pass authority into demo URLs — not into orphan posts.
- Bottom-of-funnel pages: “alternative to X” and use-case landing pages aimed at people already in-market.
- On-page CTR: H1s and titles rewritten for the query the page can actually win.
- Interlinking: a tight graph from education pieces into comparison and signup paths.
The same discipline shows up in SaaS SEO consulting — content that creates demos, not just sessions.
Scope
- Content strategy
- On-page SEO
- Internal linking
- Digital PR
What we shipped
In four months, demo requests rose 115%, modelled traffic value 3.5×, and the site held top-three positions on core remote-CRM queries. Eighty-two referring domains arrived from the comparison and resource work, not from a link-buy.
This study is SEO plus content development: briefs, page types, and internal links — not a new product UI.
